Why Should You Trust US?

We understand Healthcare Confidentiality

  • RankRx's AI engine is built on secure enterprise-grade infrastructure (OpenAI API and Azure OpenAI), both of which are SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
  • Applicant data is encrypted in transit and at rest, is never used to train the models, is retained only briefly for service integrity and abuse monitoring, and is never available to the public domain, ensuring industry-standard safeguards for confidentiality and security.
  • Applicants' PDFs submitted by programs are only used to parse the information and are not stored on the platform at any time.
  • RankRx comply with security and confidentiality measures to allow safe use of AI in reviewing applicants' information securely.
  • RankRx requires secure login for all accounts to further protect access to sensitive information.

Frequently asked questions

Find quick answers to common questions about our platform and features.

RankRx doesn’t make its own judgments, it applies the criteria and weightings defined by your program. The system parses ERAS applications and organizes key elements such as USMLE scores, clinical rotations, research, publications, volunteer work, and letters of recommendation. Instead of relying on opaque machine learning predictions, RankRx uses a structured scoring framework where every point is transparent and traceable back to the applicant’s original documents. Program directors can also adjust results directly with a PD Score column, ensuring that the final ranking always reflects faculty judgment.

Data security is a cornerstone of RankRx, and our practices align directly with the AAMC's AI Vendor Evaluation Guide principles on protecting applicant privacy. RankRx is built on enterprise-grade, SOC 2 Type 2 certified infrastructure (OpenAI API and Azure OpenAI), ensuring compliance with industry standards and U.S. security guidelines like the NIST Risk Management Framework. Applicant data is encrypted in transit and at rest, never used to train models, and never made available to the public domain. Importantly, PDFs submitted by programs are parsed but never stored on the platform. We also comply with ERAS confidentiality and security requirements, making RankRx safe for residency programs to integrate into their review process.

RankRx sought an independent legal review which suggested that programs may be able to use RankRx under the Third-Party Permitted Use rules outlined in the AAMC Terms.
However, it is ultimately each institution’s responsibility to interpret AAMC policies, obtain any necessary internal approvals, and determine whether RankRx fits within their compliance requirements.

Absolutely. RankRx is built to be fully customizable. Programs decide what matters most, whether that’s USMLE performance, clinical rotations, research, volunteer work, or other ERAS experiences. You assign the weights and scoring rules, and RankRx applies them consistently across all applicants. This flexibility ensures the rankings reflect your program’s unique priorities, not a one-size-fits-all algorithm.

Once you upload your applications and set your criteria, the AI evaluation typically completes within 5-60 minutes depending on the number of applications. You'll receive detailed rankings and insights immediately after processing.

RankRx is free to use for this cycle. Programs can take full advantage of the platform’s features without any cost, as we gather feedback and continue refining the system.
